Portfolio Management

Portfolio-management services at 5thN Financial.

What we do

Portfolio management is our business.

We discuss the alternatives with our clients, agree on a direction, and construct, implement, monitor, and manage investment portfolios within that agreed mandate.

Managing the portfolio, not selling the product.

Our investment-advisory practice is centered on portfolio management rather than brokerage or securities sales. We make portfolio decisions using our research, proprietary Expanded Portfolio Theory, and internal asset model.

01

Listen and explore

Discuss your objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon, liquidity needs, and the options and trade-offs worth considering.

02

Agree and implement

Set investment guidelines together. We then construct and manage the portfolio within the authority granted under the advisory agreement.

03

Review and adapt

Review portfolio risks and progress, listen as your priorities evolve, and revisit the mandate when changes are appropriate.

A focus on the actual portfolio

Our approach includes attention to the combined behavior of investments within the portfolio, not just the attractiveness of each security viewed independently. Portfolios may hold stocks, bonds, exchange-traded funds, or other permissible investments as appropriate to the agreed strategy. We do not claim that any investment is free of risk.

An important distinction: Securities and funds included in a managed portfolio are investment holdings, not an indication that 5thN acts as their broker or distributor. Any fund has its own expenses, risks, and disclosures.

Thoughtful advice. Decisions made together.

You have a voice in the objectives, guidelines, and direction of your portfolio—and you can ask to revisit them. Whether individual trades require prior client approval depends on the investment authority established in your advisory agreement. Services, fees, custody arrangements, and potential conflicts are described in that agreement and the firm’s Form ADV disclosures. Ask about working together.
